Message is: As I recall, he was from Georgia, but I do not remember the name of his hometown. He was white, and of course about 22 or 23 at the time. Probably about 5'9" or so, with brown hair. I believe his nickname used to be "Danny." He left Vietnam before I did, in about September of 1970, as I remember - but I can't be absolutely that it was September. He was very intelligent, easy to talk to, and we used to share information about the experiences we were having with "the girls back home." I remember him so well bacause I had never before formed any sort of friendship with anyone from the deep south.

Message is: Looking for anyone who knew my brother, WO1 David R. Kink, WORWAC 69-11 Ft. Wolters, C/1/9 1st Cav June to July 1969, KIA 8-3-69 (hometown Middleton, Wisconsin). On 7-21-69 while doing recon by fire, a ground explosion caused the loach in which he was observer to crash and burn,killing the pilot and gunner. David crawled out of the crash and died at 106th Gen. Hosp., Japan, 12 days later. I was eight years old at the time of his death and would like to know more about what kind of a person my brother was.
