His name was Jon Dale Peterson and was from a small town of Shelley Idaho in southern Idaho by Idaho Falls. He arrived in country on 4 Jan 69 and died on 1 Apr 69. He was in the above Company and Division and I was able to contact his Company Commander named Capt Ralph A. Hallenbeck who now resides in Virginia. He needed more information such as his platoon or and posibily a picture to give me any more information. He said he couldn't recal anything on him off of the top of his head but gave me the name of his radio operator named Mike Bilieu from Washington State and mentioned he might be able to give me more information or point me in the right direction. I am trying to find out more information about his daily lifestyle and/or missions. He wrote my dad (his brother) 2 short letters and mentioned it was pretty hairy over there. He mentioned places like LZ Jake, LZ Rita, LZ Dol, LZ Andy and Quam Loi. If anyone knows my uncle or was in the unit or platoon or whatever....
