Message is: I am looking for anyone who served with my father. William Lee Brown III. He was 6' tall, black hair, blue eyes and at the time was pretty lanky. He was 17 and a half when he joined up and 18 when he went overseas. All I know of where he was and what unit he was in comes from a letter that my mom has that comes from the Dept. of the Army, 74th Reconaissance Airplane Company,210th Combat Aviation Battalion, Apo San Fransisco. It is dated 12 December, 1968 and is about a transmittal of an award. It says that he was given the Staff Service Medal, Second Class awarded by the 5th ARVN Div. He was from Richland, Washington and from 1971 to 1977 was stationed at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Washington. He was an airplane and helicopter crew chief (especially Hueys). He was last stationed in Tuy Hoa in late 1970 and left to get married to my mom right before Christmas. He was also stationed in Xuan Loc, Bien Hoa, and An Loc Anyone who knew him or knows anything about him, I! would greatly appreciate any info you could give me about him. He died of complications due to Agent Orange contamination in 1987. I was 11. Please help me to know more about him. Thank you
