Hall (ASN RA16234548) from the 62d Aviation Company (later redesignated Co A/502d Avn Bn). M/Sgt Hall deployed from Ft. Benning, GA with the unit in Sept '64 and was stationed with the 62d Avn. Co. until rotating back to CONUS in Sept '65. I was the CO of the unit during the time M/Sgt Hall was the 1st Sgt.

Message is: "Ernie" rescued my brother WO1 Jon "Jake" Reid on 19 February 1971 when he was shot down in Laos. He was shot down again the next day, and listed as MIA. "Ernie" tried to rescue him then, too, but couldn't. Jake's remains have recently been recovered and I wanted Ernie to know. He will be buried January 14 at Arlington. Ernie went home to his family farm in Idaho after the war. I'd appreciate any responses from anyone in the unit, or anyone in Idaho. Many thanks. Karen
