He was a Pathfinder (11th AVN BN - Phu Loi) on loan to the 11th ACR (unkn Troop). At the time he was medivaced out of Cambodia, and subsequently retired from the Army due to physical disabilities, Sam held the rank of Cpl. E-4 with only 56 days before DEROS. Before volunteering to help the 11th ACR it was understood that he would finish his tour at Sgt. E-5 upon his return from Cambodia. Because he was medivaced to Quan Loi, Long Binh, Camp Drake (Japan), and finally to Fort Sam Houston, Sam never realized his just due - E-5. For the past 30 years Cpl. Samuel T. Evans U.S.A. Message is: Walter Slone was a combat sniper with the 9th Infantry Division in Viet Nam in 1969. I and several other snipers served together with a mechanized unit in the Mekong Delta Region of Viet Nam. Henderson when he submitted him for a metal. Dad got the medal, but Murphy got busted down to Bick Srgt. Message is: John Johnston was one of the medics (only one of there names I remember) who treated me after I wrecked a Jeep at the mortar pits at the 1st AVN 57th AHC (Gladiators) Pleiku Vietnam. I was hospitalized approximately 2 or 3 days in Feb of 73. The Jeep belonged to the XO of the 57th AHC (camp holoway)and the jeep was totaled. My XO (I was with the 57th AHC also) had to medivac (fly) me to a medical detachment that wasn't part of the 57th or camp holoway. I am trying to contact anyone who was there and remembers me or the accident. The Veterans administration says the accident never occured.

Message is: To anyone who might have known Captain Edward H Beaumont Jr. He past away in September of 1990 of cancer caused by exposure to agent orange. My father served in the 5th Infantry Division(Mech) as a psyops officer in a place I only know by pictures as Fort Carson in Quang Tri. He participated in the Tet counter-offensive of 1969 and the winter-spring offensive of 1970. He worked with a group known as the Kit Carson Scouts. My mother has told me on several occasions that my father made routine trips to Saigon to collect the payroll for the men in his Company.
