Message is: I am looking for a Bird Colonel who was a Arvn advisor around Oct 1968 in the Delta,possibly at Vinh Long. 1st platoon Bravo Co 2/47th was assigned to provide security at bridge in town,Arvn compound was across river,Regimental size I think. This Colonel twice in one week saved my butt from going to Long Binh jail,once for threatening a officer who refused to send medivac for soldier with severe double pneumonia,3 days later for misidentifying wounded women and children as VC prisoners in attempt to get them medivaced to hospital. In both cases this Colonel stepped in and got the Medivacs that were required to save the lives of all involved. Colonel,if you see this,know I have never forgotten your help,and am eternally greatful,both for those you helped ,and for myself.

Message is: I'm making an update to a posting I made earlier. My friend Robert Alan Reynolds served with this man, James Nye, during the Tet Offensive in 1968. They were artillerist and they were with some south vietmanese rangers at the time. Both of them were in a bunker, when a shell landed near by and buried them alive. Robert woke up in the hospital later not knowing what ever happened to James. He is suffering from severe PTSD and another neurological disease which I can't think of the name of at this time. The second of which was caused by the drugs prescribed to him by the Veteran hospital. If anyone has any information on James Nye I believe this would help him very much. Also if you know of an attorney which would be willing to take the case he has against the Veterans Hospital. Thank You

Message is: Looking for anyone who served in tank unit during 67 in Pleiku or Phan Ran. I was 19 and a tank commander. I was in my tank when it hit a mine. My gunner was trapped inside and was killed. I was burned from the deisel fuel which caught fire in the explosion. I also lost my next-door neighbor and best friend in the Vietnam war--Billy Wade. I accompanied his body home and then returned to 'Nam. It was after I returned that my tank hit the mine. Would like to get in touch with anyone with a similar war experience in 'Nam. I have about 4 pictures from the guys in the hospital, but Dad says all the rest of his pictures were lost. I miss him and am assembling a book on my Dad and what a pleasure it was to have him in my life - just looking for lost chapters. I need to verify we were ordered to defend the camp on that date. The attack began around 3or 4 a.m. We were ordered into a ditch near the main road. Thats when the rockets and mortars started comming in we also were on the look out for sappers and infiltrators. The rounds came in until around 7 a.m. when "spooky" came in and mopped with that mini-gun. I can never get that sounds or those smells out of my head.
