Message is: My name is Adrian Vandang. I was born in 1972. When I was younger, my family never tells me anything about the father. All I know, is that every have a dad. I am a Black Amerasian. I came to the U.S. in August 1985. My "real" mom and her aunt past away a few years after my departure to the U.S. Those were the two main people I could relay on for information about my father. I was requested to go back by my grandmother. She would like to see me before she dies. For the first time in 15 years I set my foot back in Vietnam again. She died two three days after my arrival. I was force to ask everyone in my family whose know anything about my mom before I was born. I was lucky, one of my uncle said "I was up there in Qui Nhon with your mom working, Why?" I told him that I would like to know something about my father and would like to find him one day in the U.S. He told me that my father was a very nice black man. He has an outgoing personality. He was about 5'10" or maybe ! 5'11". I ask my uncle "do you know what his name is? "Rick" he said. The people that he works with call him First Sergent. Only if you were to be the tiny little cells in my body. Blood was rushing to my head, face and body. I was about to pass out. "Do you know his last name?" He thought for a moment, "no I don't, it was so long ago. But I know where he was located." I said "GREAT!" He said that my Dad was in the Army and he always had a batch on his uniform said "54T" station in Qui Nhon on the road was call Quoc Lo 19. My great aunt did run a little cafe shop on Route 19 between Pleike and Qui Nhon.

Also want to know the where abouts of Plt Sgt. F. Marcos who was wounded in the leg on M arch 31, 1967 at the battle of Ap Gu. Also I was diagnosed with radial nerve denervation due to exposure to chemical herbisides and defoilants on Dec. 28, 1966 after being wounded in the left hand on Dec. 5, 1966 while in country. This diagnosis is shown in my medical records from the service and the $350 million fund set up for Agent Orange victems was due to my proving this to the Defense Dept.. Pres. Clinton announced this fund in a speech on May 28, 1996 after I had filed at the VA and went for appeal of their denial. My records clearly stated the above and the originals are in my VA file and I have copies. Also copies of letters ! sent to Gen. Al Haig, Pres. Clinton, Sec. of Defense Cohen, and others that resulted in the $350 million fund. Has anyone been paid any money from this fund?????? Please advise. Took civilian seasonal work with the Idaho Forrestry Dept. Later went into the Army. The last I heard from him he had been in Ft Lewis , Washington. He's got relatives in Oregon though he's originally from Washington. His dad is in law enforcement in Oregon and races a car that looks like a cop car. His sister, Julie, went to school in Portland. When he was in the marines before the Gulf War, he was stationed at Camp Pendelton, CA. Message is: I was assigned to H CO. Rangers 75th, 1st CAV DIV III Corps in 70 & 71. My LRRP team was ambushed by VC/NVA mortars in the early morning hours on November 06,1971.. in the Xuan loc area. I was seriously wounded (almost KIA when found by medi-vac) and taken to 24th Evac Hosp.. Bien Hoa. I can't remember what ward designation if any, but I was the one whose head was fully bandaged with a peep hole for my left eye, IV's in both arms & nerve damage from waist down. I do remember one female nurse/officer (I think she was from Texas) dark hair, nice smile that was on night shift. She would sit by my bed & talk to me, as I was unable to speak. Major Frost was my main doctor & he had to fly back to the world with me, because of my extensive injuries. My main reason for writing is in the hope that any of these nurse's stationed in 24th during my time there, know that I will be forever in their debt for what they & Major Frost did for me. If not for their thoughtfulness & caring, I may not be alive today! I am 100% VA, the sight in my right eye is gone, I still have well over 400 pieces of sharpnel in my body, the head tramua injury is still prevelant & I have a new face, but I can walk & ride my Harley. Message is: I don't know alot about Michael Joseph Wagner. I do know that he is my uncle on my mother's side. When I was a teen I had a ring made from a bullet shell with some green stone in the shape of a heart. It said Korea 1951. My mother said that he had brought it back with him. He goes (or went) by the nickname Mickey. He was born in Shamokin, PA, and was adopted at a young age by George Wagner, along with his brother Wilmer (aka - Frog). They grew up in Aristes, PA, with my mother (Marguerite) and my aunt (Joanne). His brother has past, but his two sisters, and his neices and nephews would like to know that he is at the very least, okay. Any information about Mickey would be greatly appreciated.

Message is: I am looking for a buddy who was shot in the arm January 5, 1970 in an ambush. I was wounded in the head. All I can remember is his first name was Arthur and he was from Texas. He was the Colonel's orderly and came back to the field and was shot after returning to the field. After being shot he was returned to rear and in charge of weapons and amo and I was sent back to the States. I would like to get in touch with anyone who served between November 1969 - January 1970 who served in 1st Cavalry, Company E, 2nd Battalion (Airmobile), 5th Cavalry.
