Taylor was from West Virginia and probably talked about his home state alot. I know that in 1963 he was in Paris, France, he was stationed in Ky., and Texas and then to France and Germany and back to Texas and then to Vietnam back to Texas after that 1st tour then back to Vietnam. He returned home from that tour a civilian albeit a broken one. Like many vietnam vets he suffered immensely and had trouble settling down for many years, in 1990 we bought a place in Princeton, NC where he remained to his death. My purpose for writing is solely to get in touch with someone who might have known him, with the passing of my husband I feel totally alone there was no one to mourn because of the many troubled years after Vietnam he was unable to maintain friendships, he only had me and now I am alone because I lived the ! type of life that he needed. In the 10 years that we have lived here I know no neighbors or friends, I hate it that there seems to be no one to remember the man that was Ernest Taylor.

Message is: Seeking anyone who may have served with WO Jimmy Lee Watson. UH1H helicopter tail #67-17254 downed close to Camp Evans on March 13, 1968 with ten men aboard. Five who made it to Camp Evans, one of whom was Lt. Pedda. The pilot, Jimmy Lee Watson, PFC Larry Moore, SFC Eugene Gubbins SP5 Steven Heitman, Sgt. Evans, do not have first name, however did not make it out. Two bodies identified in shallow graves were, SFC Gubbins and PFC Moore. The other three men have not been found. I would like pictures, anything one may have to share. Close relative to Jimmy Lee Watson.
