This is particularly important since my memory has faded considerably in the 29 year interval since we departed Vietnam. Someone has already written about each of the other units that were involved in the 1972 Easter Offensive, but we are not even mentioned in any of these volumes. Only F/8 Cav, F/4 Cav and 48th AHC are referenced in any of these other histories. It is time for our story to be recanted before all of us are too old and decrepit to remember. Message is: I was satationed at the 67th Evac Hospital, as NCOIC of Recovery and Intensive Care Unit. In one of the store rooms at the hospital where patient's belongings are kept, that I found a picture album that was evidently left by a patient. This was in Quin Nohn. The album has a beautiful scene on the cover, painted on silk. It has a brass spiral binding and there are pictures of helicopters and areas of Vietnam. There are pictures of buildings surround by sand bags. These areas were referred to as DZ (drop zone). There are some people pictures. There is also a couple of pictures of badly damaged planes. I would like to get this album back to the person who left it there.

He was at Ft. Wolters Texas before he was sent over to Vietnam. He is from a small town in Washington state name of Bellingham. I know that he made alot of good friends while he was in the Army and particularly while in Vietnam. My dad had an unexpected emergency 5-way by-way pass surgery in Oct. of last year and that has him doing alot thinking of old friends so if you knew my dad please contact me. Now my uncle Ron was sent to Vietnam about a year after my dad but im not positive if he was there in 1967,68 or 69 He was a M.P. over there. He had a beautiful family when he got back home but somehow he wasnt able to cope with unknown issues and he commited suicide about 3days after my dad had his by-pass surgery in Oct of last year. Message is: I was attached to the 25th Div. at Cu-Chi and was sent by truck to Tay Nihn to pick-up some doctors and we convoyed to a town called Dau Tieng where we set up at a forward medical clearing station in anticipation of some operation.
