Message is: On Aug 27th, 1967 while on a night ambush patrol in Rock-Kin (not spelled correct). SP/4 Robert Hensey or Hensely, not sure the proper spelling, M-60 Michine Gunner for the squad was hit while we were on patrol. We were a squad of 12 men. Only 3 made it out alive that night. Robert was hit in the gut and I placed a first aid bandage on his wound. We were med-vac out that night to the 9th MASH unit. I stayed in country and Robert was shipped home. All I know is that he was from San Antonio Texas, (thats all he ever talked about was San Antonio. Robert was about 6'2 or about that. I tried to get in touch with him over the years after I left Viet-Nam. I don't know his SS Number, all I know is his at the time he was hit, his rank was SP/4. Thank You for any assistance.
