Message is: I am seeking my old school mate and best friend from the early 1960's. We went to school together in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and attended Rideau Park Junior High. The summer of grade 11 he returned to I think Sacramento,California to work for his brother, I believe at an auto wreckers. He then stayed, finished High school and was drafted. David Bowie went to Vietnam about 1968-69 and during his tour of duty lost a leg below the knee. The last time I saw him was about 1971-72 when he received a medical honorary discharge. Robert's sister, Jeanne, was my roommate at MSU, he dropped out as senior from UM, was drafted,to boot camp in south, Kentucky,I think. Visited him there. He knew of the pregnancy, but not of the birth. I moved to Kansas City, MO, where our son was born and adopted. I last heard from friends that he was sent to cambodia, for a kind of secret mission. Sister verified that there had been no contact. I dropped it all after giving up the baby and have lost contact with friends and his sister. Did visit DC memorial and checked records. They told me he was not killed there. I have little information, because the name is common it's difficult, so thought of this route. Always been a supporter, and know you will help, if only suggesting another way. We are not asking for you to contact him. W! e will handle it through adoption agency counselor. I am proceeding cautiously.His son wants medical information because he has children now. thanks.
