Message is: I donated one of my German Shepherds to the Air Force to be trained as a Sentry Dog. PFC Dan Scott got my dog in country and we corresponded for a while as I was stationed at HHC 2nd Logistical Command in Okinawa. One night a mortar round hit the kennel and killed Shadow. Dan wrote one of the most poignant letters I have ever read. It brought tears to my eyes. In fact, the Stars and Stripes newspaper did an article and a photo of me and my dog and printed Dan's letter. After separation we lost contact with each other and I could never find him. Message is: My husband was a c.o.(conscientious objector) and also a medic during this time in VietNam. He still dreams of all those he couldn't help, and hears them crying in the night. He talks of the bravery of those he served with, how they would form a human circle around him during a firefight while he worked desperately to save one of their own. He agonizes over his decision as a young man not to carry a weapon and still questions himself whether this was the right decision. One of his most haunting memories is the countless wounded that he put on the chopper after doing his best...never to know what happened. He has steadfastly refused my suggestions to try to contact anyone. In his mind he is a coward because he didn't carry a weapon.Is there anyone that could send him a message of hope, that could give him comfort with some words that would help him come to peace with the decision he made so many years ago? Our daughter was only 3 months old when he left. I'm so grateful that her father and my husband came home, but like so many others that didn't, I feel he is "M.I.A." The body returned, but the heart and soul of the man are still lost...I would be glad to hear from anyone who may have served with him. Thankyou, and God bless all of you for your sacrifices.

Message is: Rex is my uncle and he is dying of liver cancer. He does not have much time left. All I know, because he dosen't speak at all of Vietnam, is that he served three tours in Vietnam as a paratrooper. I also believe he may have been a tunnel rat, but I am not certain.
