My letter was received by Sgt. Hugh Willard of Team 91. Sgt. Willard was assigned to Lai Thieu District before he died. I believe Mr. Brennan was most likely with the same unit. My teacher knew the family for several years and then they moved out of the Tampa Bay area, Mr. Brennan had never returned. Message is: I am looking for information from anyone who served on a tank farm outside Viet Nam in the spring of 1968. I am trying to assist my brother, Emil Ciallella, who is now legally blind and very,very ill. I am trying to substantiate his service in mainland Viet Nam. He tells me he was sent to Viet Nam for two and a half months in 1968 to translate for some high ranking officers as part of "secret intelligence." He was sprayed with Agent Orange on at least two occasions during that time. My congressman has been trying to help because Emil's Viet Nam service is not overtly recorded on his military records. However, He does seem to have two sets of orders noted for this time period. There is the notation "210" handwritten in on his official records for principal duty, also a "20" next to 76P. He is noted as being "enroute to Germany" for these 2.5 months. The National Personnel Records Center says it cannot explain the "210". The Army can't explain the "enroute" time or the "210". Does anyone know anything about this "secret intelligence" going on during this time period outside Saigon? Did anyone know my brother? He spoke French and worked "officially" as a stock control and accounting specialist at this tank farm. He says he went out to translate for "majors and above" with the Viet Namese. Thanks.

They married in Louisiana and divorced in Kansas City Kansas. He also may have served in a unit in Texas around 1981 or 1982. We united at Texas A & M and went to six flags. He should be 55-59 years old now, is African-American, and was a devout Christian. He married Huong Nguyen, and she had their son, Batong Anthony Nguyen, in May 1971, one month after he returned to the US. She also has a daughter, MyChi, from her previous marriage; she was 2 when Roland was shipped out, so he would remember her. He wanted Huong to name their baby Anthony, because he was sure the baby was a boy. He pleaded with her to come to the US with him, so if he is looking for her, she is no longer in Vietnam, but is in Boston, Mass instead. I believe he was 20 or 21 years old at the time. My first letter from him was dated March 7, 1970, and my last was dated October 7, 1970.
