I was there from 97-2000 when I returned to my home town of Springfield, Illinois. Because of my stupidity and my involving myself with the wrong person, I lost complete contact with him. Gordon Niel Eutsler III, is age 37, he previously served in the Army for 13 yrs, was Dc'd, but re-enlisted as "Regular Army", grade: E-4, Active-Duty. He graduated Basic 7/19/2002 at FT.Jackson, SC (2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, Co.F)then I informed by an individual at Ft.Jackson, that he was transferred out to "Transportation", to attend AIT, in the Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic" class. His primary MOS is 31U, but after Basic I think it is now 63B, even possibly specialty: 31K10, (as DOD reports). Gordon initially requested to be stationed in Italy, but last known info was that the Army denied this and he was to end up being stationed in Germany, (possibly for 2yrs?). Message is: All i know is, his wife (Diana Scott) last heard that he was missing in 1969. Since then she has not heard nothing. I met her at her work place in Cloverdale, Ill and she saw my vest, which bears my memorial to all fallen vets and their families. and told me about her MIA husband.
