Miller he and I were stationed togeather at Camp Humphreys with the 213th Aviation Co we worked togeather in the orderly room and he then went on to Ft Lewis WA this was sometime in 1975 he wrote me and I lost his address as I was moveing when he wrote and I guess it got lost during the move. He NEVER talked about his experience in Vietnam with us and very little with my mother. This I think has injured him worse than his physical scars and the shrapnel that still remains in his body. Message is: This was my dad I am 17 and live in Missouri he recently passed away in a servere accident he was driving in a concrete truck and it rolled killing him instantly. We live in a very small town so the salute from the senior citizen troops wasnt much but it was all we could do, we are working on getting a head stone put up for him as soon as we can get it payed for. My dad served 2 terms and did not get wounded even once, he has worked hard all his life to keep his family in good health, and in 2001 him and my mom divorced she took everything and I ran back to him we went to court and he got custody.He took the job with the concrete company in edina missouri, things were looking up again untill december 12 2002 around 11 AM a tire blew on his fully loaded truck as he rounded a curb the truck tipped on its driver side, slid into the ditch and crushed the driver side killing daddy instantly. He had no life insurance so all of his things are going into probate and we are fightin! g hard to keep as many of his things as we can. I guess his fighting spirit rubbed off on us even though we have no money and everyone is coming after his stuff all at once we just hang his picture up and listen to his favorite song "go rest high on that mountain" from vince gill, anyway i just thought that maybe he deserved some recognition along with the other late soldiers, I am however proud to say that my dad's brother (my uncle) James Hunt is still alive and well in Springfield Illinois and has army awards and meatals hung proudly on his wall.
