Message is: Stanley Earl Jordan Jr. was my uncle; he was career Army and died 4 January 1970 at the age of thirty-one after his second tour RVN. I have seen random pictures of his first tour, and have one picture of him supposedly taken during his second tour where he's wearing a flight suit w/harness, flight helmet w/visor, and jump boots. I have seen one copy of his original orders for his first trip to RVN assigning him to Alpha Co., 39th CbtEngBn, (I'm not a hundred percent sure of the battalion, only that it was Engineers), and I have two sets of utilities, (sateens), and class "A's", with division patches from the 5th MechInfDiv, and the Americal Div on the right sleeve, his combat patch. I was told by family members that his second tour was with the 1st Air Cav, and years later I found a commemorative brass coin, about the size of a Kennedy half dollar, that had an impression of an infantryman in an "Iron Mike" pose with his M16 raised over his shoulder-(Follow Me! ), and the inscription "The First Team"/ The opposite side was a jungle scene with "First Air Cavalry Division", among my uncle's personal effects that were left to me. Other than what I've written here, I know little of the man, I was five years old when he died. I do know that on his first tour he was promoted to SSgt, and I believe he was a SFC when he died. He joined the Army in 1959 and served with the 3d InfDiv in Germany, Vll Corps, and returned to the States to serve with the 1st InfDiv at Ft. Riley and an undisclosed unit at Ft. Carson prior to his deployment to RVN. If anyone can get past my rambling, what I'm looking for is info from anyone who might have served with him, or knows anything about him, specifically someone who served with him in Viet Nam. I worked in Personnel during that time and was the last member of the 91st in Tuy Hoa(along with SP6 Bill Davis from Ft Lauderdale FL). I took the Colors and Morning reports to Chu Lai on July 2 1969 and then went back so we could get rid of all of the rest of the equipment. We both left in August 1969. Bill went home and I went to Da Nang to the 222nd personnel service company team C. at the 95th Evac Hospital.

Message is: In 1999, I wrote the Lieutenant in a letter addressed to any soldier as an assignment for one of my classes. He responded my letter, and at the time was stationed in Tirana, Albania. he was an Army Pilot in charge of AH-64 Apache aircraft that had been sent to Albania to help NATO in Kosovo. His call sign was "Sabre 6". His team was called the 2nd Squadron of the 6th US Cavalry, the motto was "the fighting sixth". He lived in Illesheim, Germany when he wasn't deployed somewhere else in the world. I basically want to get back into touch with him.
