Message is: Trying to locate Jim,He got shot up pretty bad in a ambush when we went in to relieve the 1/8 on a hill that the dinks had blown and 8th lost nearly the entire company. Capt foster was in charge after beieing ambushed a couple more time a premature assault was triggered on the next hill.We lost a lot of good men and it went on into the night. anybody rembering this?

Message is: Sometime around 1975/76 I was given a POW braclet. I was 20 years old then and somewhat of a flower child, although not a protester. I had many friends who were in the army because I grew up next to Fort Bragg NC. I'd always felt very sad for the men and women who suffered and fought in Vietnam but I didn't really have any true connection to anyone who had been there except through the braclet. I wore this braclet for most of my adult life, it was a part of my body. I never took it off. So in a way Marvin Foster has been with me for all these years as well. I don't know why it's taken me so long to find out his where abouts. But all of a sudden I thought, "could it be possible that maybe just maybe he could still be around?" Or even if he's gone i'd stil like to know what his story is. Where did he come from. What did he do? What was he like? He's been with me for 27/28 years and I don't know anything about him.
