Message is: Trying to locate Robert, he an I trained in the 11th air assault division, 1st Ave Co. , we supported the big tail (Caribou) aircraft. He was a US (drafted)!! I had already served in the MAG over there, and missed the deployment by only a couple of weeks. I have tried everyway possible to locate Ogden, his nickname was ( oog ) ,his MOS--communications--the last info i had on him was not confirmed,supposedly he ended up on the Saigon air strip in two man tents , but that is only rumored info. He and I set up a command post in FT Gordon GA on one training event. Sgt Sparenburg was our go to person while training in the 11th air assault- which then became the 1st Air Cav. One technique that was not very successful was the Caribou (aircraft)flying very low with ramp down and skidding jeeps out of the flying aircraft, lots of messed up jeeps.

Message is: Sgt. Raymond John Borowski was my father. I was told he died in Vietnam duringor after a mortar shower on 20 May 67. He was a Combat Medic. His DOB was 05 Apr. 1935. He was KIA just 45 days after his 32nd birthday. The Battalion consist of three Supply and Service Companies, the 24th S&S Company, at Giessen, Germany, 26th S&S Company located at Bad Hersfeld, and the 29th S&S Company, located at Baumholder, Germany. I was assigned as the NCOIC, E8, of the Logistics Section. I departed the Battalion in May 1981 as I was selected for E9 and was reassigned to the USMA, West Point, NY. I retired in March 1984 as an E9, and later was recalled to active duty during Desert Storm, during December 1990. I was assigned to the Mortuary at Dover AFB, DE, attached to the US Army Escort Detachment, at Fort Meade, Maryland. I was discharged during September 1991.
