This is a photo of a hill was taken in the summer of 2000 off the southern side of Route 9 between Dong Ha and Laos. From the road, there were some visible signs that there had once been something there in the flat, open ground at the hill's base.
This is a scan of a post card I picked up in Hanoi which shows what was there and what took place. The name of the place was Dau Mau Base. This photo probably shows action from the 1972 Easter Offensive.
