BILL

My name is Bill Garbett. I was the medic for A Co., 2nd Battalion, 35th Inf. from August 1967 to January 10, 1968, when my right leg was blown off.

I spent six months in the hospital, came home and finished school, and became a social worker.

For the past *#!# years, I have been working with sexually and physically abused kids. Like many of you, I no longer have a wife; but I have two beautiful grandkids I'm helping to raise. That's it in a nutshell.

And, I wish all of you have or will have someone like the one who helped me through. My poem "Friend" is dedicated to him.
