As I remember, there were only a couple combat eng. teams in the Valley -- mine and one other. Can't remember the other team leader's name but can see his face and the cowboy hat he used to wear ... also an official E.O.D. team.

Found and talked to an E.O.D. team member last year who was same place, same time in the Valley...chilling, to say the least. Anyway, do remember a complex just as you described. We came in, searched it, then blew it. We spent the night with the grunts that found it. Can't remember the month or day but do remember the events.

If the eng. team spent the night at your AO, could have been us.

Your story brings back a lot of memories. Spent many days and nights with many grunt units in the Valley.
