Jeff Drake

Jeff Drake served in the Army from July 1969 - March 1972. He spent two back-to-back tours in Vietnam during the periods July 1970 to July 1971 and July 1971 to February 1972.

He spent 17 months on top of a mountain in the Central Highlands about 25 miles from Da Lat (the old French capital). It was known to Jeff's unit as Pr'Line (pronounced Praline, like the candy). Pr'Line stood for Primary Line, because all of the communications going between north South Vietnam and south South Vietnam had to go through their comm site.
