Message is: My Father, John D. McMurry served in the U.S. Navy during the Nuclear Bomb Testing Progects, such as Operation Ivy, and Operation Castle, from 1950-1954. This was during some of the first Hydrogen Bomb test projects that took place in the South Pacific, in the early 1950's. He was a enlisted man, from Lepanto, AR who served aboard the U.S.S Estes. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who may have also been in this situation, especially, anyone who may have known him. I will anxiously be awaiting all replies.
