He lent me soap when I had none then. Saw him in my grad school two years later and reminded him of the occasion in country. Disbelieving me I asked him to show me his wounded leg. "How could you remember that?" I never forget a favor or much else. It's a curse and blessing at the same time but my memory is still with me.
