Message is: I am looking for anyone that knew my father, Don L. Fisher during the two tours he served in Vietnam. I have heard different stories (he died when I was two), but believe he served on a carrier. His headstone says "ABH3", which a military friend says that is a military position. Message is: I am looking for Cal Austin. I believe he was originally from New Jersey. While in the Navy he was docked for awhile in San Diego, Calif. He met Jan Byrd in San Jose, California and they dated and then corresponded. He sometimes called Jan "Bridget" He was stationed in the Philippines in 1966 and on Aug. 29, 1966 wrote a letter to Jan from the ship, which was "sailing up the coast of VietNam in the South China Sea"....(to quote the letter) In 1967 he made it back to California to look for Jan.
