Message is: I was attached to NSAD Sa Huynh July 1968 to Feb 1969. Interested to find out more about how this patch of land was settled. Army was there first and attached the name Gilligans Island. Navy set up shop early 67 sometime. There was a small Army post on the hill across the inlet yet when I left. Duc Pho was up the road several miles to get mail, water etc. once week and a place to get rides to Da Nang. The 1st Air Cav and artillery were dug in at Duc Pho.It's said there are some quite ancient grounds near this area of the coast. Curious as to what happened to the place, had a great beach!

He was a Navy Corpsman stationed with MAG-13, somewhere near Da Nang, from May 1969 to February 1970 when he shipped out to Japan. One of his duties was to put the body bags on the planes to return home...hope this helps.
