The New Plaque Now In Place

On November 14, 2002, the newly cast bronze plaque commemorating the five soldiers killed defending US Embassy-Saigon was placed on the grounds of the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, the same location where these men made their final sacrifice on January 31, 1968.

May we always remember the fallen warrior.

The replacement plaque is identical to the original and now rests on the Consulate grounds.

The new plaque and US Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Raymond F. Burghardt.
