Message is: I was a teenager during the Vietman War. Quite a few of us wore metal bracelets with the name of a MIA vet engraved on it. There was also a date. Message is: Hello! I'm looking for Jerry Durbin. We became friends while working together for the Corps of Engineers sometime in the early to mid 80s. I hate to admit that after our last visit with each other we lost contact. During that visit (sometime in 1988) he lived in 29 Palms California and was working as a civilian on the base. Message is: My name is Mary. I was born in December of 1966 in Pleiku to a Veitnamese woman and African American soldier who was serving at least in the spring of 1966 in the Pleiku area. My mother's name is Do Thi Mai and my birth name was Do Thi Thanh Thuy but I have since been adopted by an American family when I was 8 years old. I returned to Vietnam about two years ago and met my birth mother but her recollection of my birth father was limited thereore I do not have much to go on. I am simply hanging on a prayer....It's not important that to me if the man I am looking for wants to acknowledge me or not. I just wanted him to know that I am alive and happy and that the trip to the homeland was one of unimaginable feelings and I still have difficulties expressing the emotions that took over me. I am thankful for the opportunity that God has given to make the trip and I look forward to returning for another visit. My birth mother was in her 30's when she met my father an! d I am unsure if he even knows of my existence. He was contacted by Helen Blair Schuler of the Orphans Court of Montgomery COunty last year in regards to medical information for myself as I was adopted at birth. My birth mother's name was Lisa, and from Mechanicsburg PA. My birthfather resided at the YMCA in Harrisburg around June 26, 1980 when I was born. I believe he would like to speak with me, but the courts are adament about not releasing his information as my birth mother wishes to still remain anonymous. However, I am aware after receiving some medical forms he filled out that he may have been exposed to Agent Orange during the war. I have had 3 children, one born at 30 wks., and twins born at 25 weeks, one of whom passed away. I have had several miscarriages since and am desperate to find him to see if we can get him/us tessted for Agent Orange exposure to see if this is what! is causing my reproductive problems. All I know is that he has no other children, he has one brother who has a daughter...and he used to be a boxer. He is on full disability for post-traumatic stress from Vietnam. Message is: I am trying to help a friend find his father. His mother is Vietnamese and also worked at the same U.S. Embassy. She had a relationship with Mr. Brennan during the time that he served. According to my friend, Johnny Ho, his mother told him that as the situation in Vietnam worsened, she lost touch with Mr. Brennan and her family forced her to destroy all letters and contact information he gave her for fear that she would be murdered if found out. Johnny grew up without his father and his mother felt she honored his father by keeping his memory alive. Johnny has longed for any information about him. The only details he knows is that Mr. Brennan is from Ohio, possibly the Cleveland area and was working at a US Embassy in Vietnam in 1970, the year of Johnny's birth.

Message is: I served during the Korean Conflict l950 - l95l. A few months afterI arrived I met this South Korean soldier who was seperated from his unit. He followed me around like a shadow. He spoke very little english and we couldn't communicate very well. But he always looked after my Welfare outright saved my life a few times. At the time I was a lstLt. but he always called me Captain. I only knew him as Mr. Too. Just before I left Korea we were under heavy attack and Mr. Too was severely wounded. Just before he was picked up by Medics I wrote on a piece of paper to please give him medical aid, he was fighting on the american side and deserved the best of care. It has always been my desire to find Mr. TOO. This might not be his right name, but if he is alive he would remember the circumstances. He would be in his late 60's or early 70's. I know I owe him my life and I would like to tell him so. Thank you for any aid you can give me.
