WHO AM I?

     By "Top" Shultz

Born of thunder, fire and steel,
Born of smoke and feelings real;
Honed by sands of the dunes of ages,
Mothered by hell, and my hell fire rages.
WHO AM I?

Trained until I'm ready to drop,
Dead dog tired, but I'll never stop;
Born of this earth with a job to do,
A job for humanity that is never through.
WHO AM I?

Sent into a distant land,
Rifle and pack are in my hand;
Burn the bush and seek 'em out,
We know what this is all about.
WHO AM I?

Flush the enemy from his hole,
A blast of fire will make him roll;
Send him to his just reward,
With hand, with gun or my fiery sword.
WHO AM I?

Keep my country always free,
NEVER get on bended knee;
For this, my lot, is what I'm born to,
Let's move along 'cause we're not yet through.
WHO AM I?

The loving cries of those behind,
In all my wrath to them I'm kind;
To end the threat of tyranny,
For all earth's people deserve to be free.
WHO AM I?

I'll carry on until I bust,
Until my body's turned to dust;
On a plain somewhere across the sea,
From a fiery death I'll never flee.
WHO AM I?

Just threaten those that I do love,
And I will float down from above;
My weapon ready at my side,
From no man will I ever hide.
WHO AM I?

Cruelty remains out in the cold,
I'll seek it out, just be so bold;
I'll put my training to the test,
And keep on going without rest.
WHO AM I?

Then someday, if I return,
Don't run away, don't my life spurn;
For I have done what I must do,
And only for my love for you.
WHO AM I?

One day I'll lay my weary head,
Upon my final resting bed;
And in my mind I'll always see,
My brothers who died to keep us free.
I AM WARRIOR!
