Message is: My dad, Donald LeRoy Leonard, may have been called Sonny started out at Dyess as a C-130 Loadmaster and then spent three tours in Vietnam. I love him very much and would like to help him talk with some of his old buddies from while he served. One of his old buddies Steve Pollina found him in the 80's and they have remained in contact. Dad was originally from Hull, Illinois. He became a State Trooper and married my mom, had a son and adopted my other brother and I. He's since retired and is still living on the farm with my mom in Illinois. He's dealt with a lot and has physical complications due to agent orange poisoning, but he's never let it keep him down for very long. He hasn't shared much with me about his service time, but he has mentioned a few people he would eventually like to look up again. Unfortunately, I don't have their names. In addition, I don't know much about this, but Bobby West was a good friend of his. I believe Bobby may no longer with us here ! on earth. But if you know differently, please let me know. Message is: In the early 1980's while fishing a tributary of the Kansas River 3 miles north of Rossville I found a POW/MIA bracelet for Capt Martin Massucci. In checking the info contained in this website from the Viet Nam Veterans Wall it stated that Capt Massucci start date of tour was 10/1/65; the date on the bracelet is also 10/1/65 which to me means that he was lost on his 1st combat mission. His name is on the Wall: Panel 02E - Row 101.Capt Massuccis MOS was 1115R. I've been to the Wall in Wash and have also visited the traveling Wall the last time it was in Topeka, Kans.
