Message is: I am looking for a John Kennedy, who lived in 70th Drive, Forest Hills, NY until he entered the service. He was stationed in Dover, Del AFB. His birthday was in March and we are the same age 60-61. The last I know of him is that he was living in San Francisco. I grew up on 71st Avenue we grew up together and we were friends all thru school. He dated my sister and I dated his brother. He came from a large family (8) mostly boys and had a sister, Connie, who was a nun. I know he didn't stay home very long after being discharged and I think about him often and wonder how he is. Message is: I am looking for information on this helicopter unit. My father, Richard C. Harris, a young soldier from Virginia, was a flight engineer crew chief in Fire and Rescue, flew Air Rescue in Korea and Nam, and flew Missile Support(SAC)with the 1st. In 1969-70, he flew as flight chief with Defense Seretary Melvin Laird. He does not speak of his time in Vietnam, so I am not sure if I have the names right. I would like some information on the types of missions he flew and where he might have been. He is thankfully alive and well and living a quiet life in St. Petersburg, Florida.
