Message is: We found the grave of this Vietnam Vet on Storm Mountain north of Highway 34 in Larimer County. His headstone says he was born on May 6, 1943 and died April 19, 1977. His headstone gives his name as "E. Lenny Hurd." His record in the Social Security Death Index gives his name as just plain "Edward Hurd" and says that his Social Security Card was issued in Iowa between 1960 and 1961. (We can find no information on his death in local papers. We are writing a book about the folks buried in the 160 remote graves that we have found to date in Larimer County and would like to include more information about Sergeant Hurd than just the data on his headstone.
