Message is: My closest friend was KIA in April 68. We wher to meet on R&R but he didn't show up. I know that for me time has faded the names but not the faces or what happened so I'll Rlat some privat thing we wrote to each outher. There where some things you could not write home about so you wrote to pal incountry. Frak was with the last patrol to the Khe Sanh vill that was wipped out he was the only survivor and this should i.d. him. He was KIA on a med. cap. by morter fire covering a Chaplin in some vill with his body and got the Navy Cross or some thing like that, this may also help. I think I'm looking for some of the closure that talked about and I.m sure there more to his last days than the Mill. Speak that we got from the Navy.
