Message is: James Wilson is a tall black from Texas. As I recall it was either Houston or Dallas or somewhere near either. Went through boot camp at MCRD San Diego in July-Sept. 1968. My platoon number was 2043. He was in a different platoon, but he was in the same series so the number was real close. We both went through ITR, BITS and then staging together at Pendleton. Both shipped over in January of 1969. Didn't see him again until January 1970 when we ran into each other in Danang while rotating home. Took the same bird home. Drank ourselves dumb and happy in Okinawa and then El Toro. I believe he was with 3rd Marine Div., but we really didn't talk about that much. We didn't exchange addresses as far as I can remember or if we did I don't have it. Would really like to say Hi and see how he's been. Any help in getting in touch would be appreciated.

Message is: I have been able to learn that Glenn's helicopter crashed on 1/07/69. The aircraft was later found empty. Glenn's remains were located some time later. I would like to kow more about the incident, if possible. Message is: I Have been trying to locate my father David Peterson for such a long time but I didnt know where and how to start. I'm very thankful that just by surfing the net I finally found the first step. I've been an orphan since I was a baby and didnt know my true identity till I was 27 years old. The information based on my birth certificate is that my father was 19 y.o. when I was born in 1964. He is a Marine based on Subic Bay at that time. He must be 53 y.o. now. My mother's name is Adela Velarde and hails from Leyte. My name is Sue V. Peterson and I guess its my father who gave me the name since my mother is a visayan it would be hard for her to pronounce it. I dont know if I'm making any sense here its just I'm so excited that this might be the chance I've been waiting for all my life. I just want my parents to know that they will always be in my heart. Message is: Looking for anyone that served with Wayne Jude Spellman. He trained in San Diego-Camp Pendleton in 1964. Was killed in Da Nang April 12, 1966. Wayne was my Uncle and godfather. I was 7 when he died and would like to hear about him. I was told he almost drowned in boot camp and that he was killed by a hand grenade while moving ammunition depot. He was awarded bronze star posthumously for bravery..medic killed during ambush and Wayne treated men in his company, crawling from one to another. Please inform me of the things he would have gone through, what he was like etc..I am doing family geneology and want to know what my Uncle was like. He was 21 when he died.
