Message is: I'm trying to locate anyone who served with Cpl Trevor "Travis" Antolik of Co E, 2nd Bn, 1st Mar, 1st Mar Div in Vietnam. Travis' Vietnam tour was from August 1969 to August 1970. I am trying to help my friend Travis in getting his Purple Heart Medal. He was wounded in Quanh Ninh Provice in Vietnam on or about Sep or Oct 1969 from a light mortar fire with NVA regulars; he received sharpnel wounds to his jaw area. The corpsman that treated him was killed six months later. At that time, he did not pursue the medal because he believe that so many other Marines gave so much more -- losing arms, legs, ears, eyes, and totally paralized that he did not accept anything for a "bandaid" wound. Message is: am looking to see what really happen to a good frind of mine Joe Rinehart, (his name is spelled wrong on the wall, they have it spelled Rhinehart) he was wounded late may l967, some peope say it was a misaventure, other say it was friendly fire, some say he walked to the dust off anyway he died on ship 3or 4 day after being wounded, i am not sure if he was with the 1/4 or 2/4 or 3/4, he was on operation hickory near the dmz, may of l967, we lived next door to each other were good friends, i was small kid and joe always took up for me. if you ever met joe you would remember him he had one green eye and one blue eye. after his death, his mom and dad did not get any of his belongings, dog tags, boots, wallet nothing. after joe got killed I joined the MC in l968 and got dischargaed in l970. if anyone out there remembers, i would like to know what happen to one of my best friends. thanks Lyle Brammer (Sgt. Message is: My name is Georgia Watson, daughter of William Allen Thomas, He died after returning home from Vietnam, I was 6 months old. I am looking for any vet who served with him, any friends, gentlemen that fought beside him, anyone. . . that could teach me about the experiences he endured while in Vietnem. I just received documents from the National Military Records Center, and having a difficult time understanding the lingo, terminology, etc. I know that he was in the above Provinces, as a rifleman, in the 3rd bat., 26th Marines, "L" Co. from 12/1966 to Sept/1967. He was wounded in Action 3 times, received 3 purple hearts. He was married at the time (but not to my mother) and had a daughter - who I would like to locate as well, she would be my half-sister.
