A soldier in the Phillipine Army, he joined the United States Army and completed an illustrous career. I was unable to contact King's family, and I never heard from him, subsequent to his receiving a foot wound around November of 1967. My father was at one time a Sgt. but was demoted because of an altercation with a MP(not sure-this could have been my grandfather). Dad was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, he joined on 10/02/66 and was discharged on 4/24/70 My brother and I recently lost our dad to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma on January 15, 2001.
