read your 7 july post. good info. we had a few face to face meetings with nva in 3rd recon that did not involve shots or hand to hand...just "passing through" encounters..."see you some other time" ...sort of a show of respect for the fighting guys on each side.

i wasn't on any of the patrols that this happened on, but have no reason to doubt the word of the guys who were.
